It's been a few weeks since I last wrote anything, and I do apologize. Life's been really busy lately, but I think I'm finally getting things under control again. This semester at school has been unreasonably busy, despite dropping my 6th class at the beginning of the semester. I can only imagine what things would have been like if I haven't done that.

Pittco was held on March 15th and 16th. The last few weeks leading up to the event were spent busily working out the last few kinks. Naturally, there were plenty of kinks to work out at the event itself. We changed our registration systems, but never realized that we'd have to change our check-in script as well. I wrote a brand new script 15 minutes before we began letting attendees in to the hall (actually, we had to delay check-in by about 10 minutes =P). BIOSLEVEL is what sucks up the most of my free time. I'm behind on some of my reviews, and others are just waiting for someone to edit them. I have some cool, new products coming in the next few weeks, and I'm just glad that Colin's going to be taking care of at least one of these (even if it is frickin' sweet, and I wish I was able to review it).

I'm going to try and find the time to write in here more, but there's so much going on in terms of my personal projects and school, that I can't find the time anymore.

I think one of the reasons I've been so busy the last two weeks is Pittco planning. Despite the LAN being another 4 months away, we're really trying to square things away so advertising is the last thing we're doing in the last month or two before the LAN.

About two weeks ago, I spent a day or so creating a detailed list of what needed to be done at our upcoming staff meeting. Of course, I managed to lose this list shortly afterward. There's one wasted day right there. Moving along, I finally got around to interviewing all the Pittco recruits on the phone, and Dan and I were both quite pleased with the results.

Some of the recruits seemed annoyed at having to speak with someone on the phone for Pittco, but I dislike the phone just the same. They weren't obvious about it, but I think there was a certain amount of distaste hidden in their voices. Regardless, they seem like just the help we need. We're running short on tournament managers, and as we're looking to increase the amount of tournaments we hold at this upcoming event, we need more! Also, we're expanding our Public Relations department, which takes care of advertising and sponsorships. It's become such a hassle to have one person try to manage everything that.

Also, I think I've written about this previously, but the console section was practically missing at our last event because the girl in charge of consoles had to work. I'm hoping that two of these new hires are able to do things better in this area, so we can also hold more console tournaments than normal. There's so many great games out right now, such as Guitar Hero 3, Gears of War, Halo 3, and others, that we can't afford to ignore the console section two events in a row.
